Fix Your Frayed Phone / Tablet / Laptop Power Cable
Thanks for the video, I tried it, and that tool is garbage. No way to make sure things are centred. Get lucky on one end and mess up the other end and have to start all over. Waste of time and money. Should have bought the proper tool.
My Midea is not cooling like before do you know if it needs freon please
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Great job as always Steve!
Thanks, John!
Best video editing I’ve ever seen.
Wow, thanks!
@@repairs101 and ive seen Iron Man!
Is there anything bigger? I keep pulling the cord out of the starter itself.
Try thicker rope?
@@repairs101 The reel is too small for a full pull with thicker rope.
try putting a bend in the last two inches then forming a double figure eight. Or maybe a triple overhand stop knot?
Hello again. Just wondering if there are any updates on your ev Boxster build? I am in the market for a 1st gen Boxster. I want to buy one with low miles and drive it til I decide to do the conversion. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your videos.
Coming soon - Terry and I are collaborating on an update video showcasing some routine maintenance (bearings) and some upgrades (frunk upholstery) and MORE!
I just followed these steps at my office and it worked really well. Thank you so much.
Glad it helped!
very confusing, goes to fast
😂
This is just a double throw knot.
I've never heard it called that (most sources call it the Surgeon's Knot) but if you've seen my Grilled Cheese on Rye knot video you know I'm down with calling it... whatever. ruclips.net/video/nMJkfMPc6J8/видео.html
@@repairs101 It gets the nickname because this is the bare minimum number of throws surgeons use to suture and stitch. a single throw wont tighten as you relax the knot after binding. Meaning a good chance it can be knocked open.
thanks!
I repaired my broken axe handle today with the help of your video. It turned out quite nice. Thank you very much!
Glad I could help!
Is this satire?
There's a little comedy in everything I make.
I can't wait to see more of your content. You are really good. Greetings from Italy
Ciao Roberto! grazie per aver commentato! I am trying to produce more #shorts than ever before and I am always looking for opportunities to create more long form videos as well. Rock on!
That's Bidenomics ! Thanks
As a Canadian... I don't get it.
Anybody know how if engine temperature affects a compression test? Could it fail at cold but then pass when warmed up?
Yes if the compression gap is closed by the metal's thermal expansion.
Too fast
Think of it as a TED Talk about knot tying rather than a lesson on how to tie knots.
Awesome
Thanks!
Thank you well done!
Thank you!
Dude you saved my ass thank you so much
Happy to help out!
Down to earth basic advice on how to make your mower last for years. Might have included to run out the gas in the carburetor at the end of the season. Great video!
Great tip!
My pruner is from the 50s, and I think the blade is bent because it is not cutting straight. I don't know how to fix it.
If you can't find a replacement blade then you probably can't fix it.
Nice. The only thing missing was a cameo of your sweat beater.
True! But I sold that truck to a friend in need. Now I think I want to do a van. And maybe another boat.
In Poland this is the default mooring hitch, called “cumowniczy żeglarski” “sailor’s mooring”. It is taught on every yachting book and course and required for licenses. I was kinda surprised when I learned about its obscurity in the English speaking world.
Thanks for pointing that out! I had no idea but always suspected someone somewhere must be using this knot.
u are big idiot bro
u think all is idiot
My two tips: - Move to a city and live in a place with only street parking. You'll be a pro in no time. - Never park behind or in front of a car that has a bunch of dents, dings, and missing paint.
I'm Steve #5 and I approve this message.
We must’ve had the same driving teacher lol.
I think his name was James. Brown 4 door Chevy Nova. Probably same guy.
@@repairs101 Haha. Mine was female and a late 80s Ford Escort. I think it was burgundy.
I own a 1998 Porsche Boxter 986, How much would you charge me to do the conversion for me??? Have a Blessed day.

Terry's reply: “Hi Migel. A lot depends on where you are”
Munter + clove hitch + overhand
A+
I want to do this to my E30 with a model 3 motor, any advice or websites that can help with instructions? Thanks Eddie
“Hi Ed. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It was a fun project to do, and the end result is excellent. I can be a sounding board for you, and I suggest you look at the EV Open Inverter Forum. www.openinverter.org Lots of good projects and advice there.” Terry Moore Mooret88@outlook.com
Why is the cable stripped way more than the battery terminal length? I mean a little is ok but a whole 1/4 in stripped bare is unnecessary.
What did you use for the “mud” if you got any recommendations ?
If you pause the action at 00:40 - when I say "I went with this redimix stuff" You will see the tubes of mud branded ACE TILE GROUT and I highly recommend the stuff as I made this video almost exactly 10 years ago today and my surround STILL LOOKS GREAT after 10 years daily use! But no doubt different products will be available to you depending on where you live. Go with the redimix for better consistency. I would only mix grout from powder if i was doing a whole swimming pool and cost was a factor.
Why did you pull off the t-junction? Is that necessary for replacing the basket strainer?
I can't wait. I hate my white stove lol 😆
This truck is probably going for 4000 dollars now thanks joe biden
Some of that has to be from the work I did on it.
Question: When I tighten it then it's turning so I cant get it tight. How do I stop it from turning?
Schade.LG
Only issue is that you don't make videos every day. Always enjoy your channel!
That's very kind of you to say. Thanks. I only wish I had the resources to produce on that level.
Its funny to me that I’ve done my own repair work on my home and some on my car for years and never once stopped to think of the variations of the socket and wrench sets I have. I always just start with one and work my way up and down until it fits.
Just think: Quarter inch hardware? Quarter inch ratchet. Three eighths hardware? Three eighths ratchet. Half inch hardware? Half inch ratchet.
Slipped clove hitch
You cut many spots too fast, fyi. Before you're even done drawing the chalk image, it cuts out in a fraction of a second. You're hand's in the way, and when it's not so I can see the drawing, it cuts out on the video. Thanks for the info, though.
Luck would have it that my editing skills have improved somewhat in the eleven years since I released that video.
What grout/mud should I use? I had my tub “”professionally”” grouted and the grout they used was terrible and falls away in chunks.
With a channel like this, it’s 100% guaranteed that it will have armchair critics. I have been watching for years and appreciate all the tips snd how it’s done in a relaxed way. Always enjoyable. So thank you, and please continue doing these vids when you feel the desire.
By the way , how’s “ Buddy” the dog doing?
You're sure right about the critics but I say bring 'em on (the algorithm loves engagement). Thanks for your viewership and the encouragement!
Believe it or KNOT, Buddy was a classically trained actor based out of Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver named Coola Bear who has since gotten married and moved to Skookumchuck Narrows where he works in a tire shop and his wife is expecting twins.
@@repairs101so happy for the big guy! I hope he can bear to have little ones around!
i just finished body filling class in my school, I gotta say my 3rd gen auto body collision instructor would be screaming at the way you did your body filler work lol. but like you said you are not know it all. i was curious to see how you tackle this as I been sub to your channel since I was a kid.
Well thanks for hanging in with me all these years. Sometimes I wonder if its worth it anymore so its great to hear someone has been with me all along. (RUclips analytics tells me 98% of my viewers are first time viewers). So... thanks! And I appreciate that you understand where I'm coming from as far as being a know-it-all goes. There's only so much we can be experts on, but there's no reason not to try new things. Especially if you're going to save a ton of money by taking on the job yourself. Please tell your instructor I have only done this twice before (a decade apart each time) and had only the product labels for directions. And the owner of the car seems very happy with my efforts.
Spray your caulking with 70 percent isopropyl alcohol then use gloved finger. You'll be amazed at the results.
Thanks for the tip!
Can you please make it 600x speed next time?
In case of #sarcasm please watch this slower version. Monkey Fist Knot Dog & Cat Toy ruclips.net/video/n6Ez4v6nAG0/видео.html In case of #sincerity check out my selection of videos on paint drying!
Sorry for the sarcasm. It’s nice of you to share your knowledge by taking the time to put these helpful, occasionally speedy for beginners, videos together for us all. Thank you. (The new video you linked was very easy to follow)
oh yeah and what is the range? haha that's probably the most important thing. I remember seeing a similar video and the guy got like 120 miles range. Its fine I guess if everything is close by.
Hi Keith. The range is about what you mentioned and is dependent on the batteries selected. Think of this build as a prototype. It used first generation Lithium-Ion Batteries from a 2015 KIA Soul which were good at the time. I’m working out all the minor kinks and inconveniences now so when the next generation Lithium-Ion Solid State batteries to be commercially available, I will just put them in. The range would most likely double. Terry.
@@repairs101 ahh gotcha, good good ya still an achievement. Food for thought Limo could potentially get a max range since they are longer and can conceal a lot more batteries and blend the look of it. If you can make kits for that...... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
